Washington Dream Act passes House


Washington Dream Act passes house in a rare first day vote. The proposal would allow access to financial aid to children brought to the United States illegally as children. The senates has signaled that the bill is very unlikely to pass. Few states have actually passed similar bills that would benefit “Dreamers”, allowing them to get in state tuition as well as financial aid. Students needs more support from other states to receive benefits such as these. We need to allow these aspiring young men and women to continue their education in order to better themselves and this country.
